Call for Session and Side Event Proposals
Proposals to be submitted by 31 July 2015
A Summit needs to find solutions for today’s problems and the success of EcoSummit 2016 will be due to the creative input of its participants. Therefore, EcoSummit 2016 will be structured not only around sessions, but will rely on workshops, forums, round tables and discussions to unite attendees in finding solutions. From these events we would like to establish concrete deliverables in the form of white papers, scientific essays and new ideas for policy makers and stakeholders.
The Scientific Committee invites submissions of session proposals and side events. In keeping with the spirit of the conference title ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABILITY - ENGINEERING CHANGE, the Scientific Committee is developing a programme that will highlight the advances made to address the current environmental problems facing our changing world.
Sessions and side events will be considered that address one or more of the conference topics. Proposals should be submitted by 31 July 2015, using the online Session & Side Event Proposal Form.

Abstract submission opens in October 2015

An open Call for Abstracts will be issued in October 2015, with online abstract submission until 29 January 2016, and acceptance decisions until 11 March 2016.

Urban Transitions 2016
Organised by

Cities are incredibly vibrant centres of innovation, education, employment and commerce. Today, more than half of the world population lives in urban areas, and each week, the urban population increases globally by 1.3 million.
As we become a mainly urban species, we have significant challenges and exciting opportunities ahead of us, as we try to transition towards a more:
Urban Transitions 2016 will take place 5-9 September 2016 in Shanghai, China and will bring together researchers, policy-makers, government representatives and practitioners to communicate and share the latest research and practice in these areas.
Contributions are invited on the conference topics for presentation alongside high-level invited speakers. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 3 March 2016.
We welcome your participation and hope to welcome you to Shanghai, one of the world great cities, in September 2016.
