Resilience 2014

Building on the highly successful first two conferences in Stockholm and Phoenix, the Resilience 2014 conference will take place in Montpellier, France, May 4-8, 2014 (http://www.resilience2014.org).

The focus of the conference is Resilience and Development: mobilizing for transformation.  The most influential scholars in the field of social-ecological systems (SES) research will present cutting-edge findings on resilience, adaptation, transformation and development of SES, and representatives of major development agencies, NGOs and the business sector will present their own perspectives on such research to address development issues.  With the aim to explore and reinforce the multiple links between resilience thinking and development issues, Resilience 2014 will create an arena for exchange and discussions, articulating different concepts and practices used in these fields. Several associated events, such as training courses and workshops, will be organized alongside the main conference.

The submission of abstracts is now open (deadline, August 16, 2013).  Prepare and submit your abstracts and propose sessions at www.Resilience2014.org
